The end of the marking period is now in sight. There are 10 days left to mark key stage 3 scripts and 13 days left for key stage 2. The deadlines for submitting all marks online and script collection are below.
Remember, there is a taxable £100 incentive payment for marking and returning your standard allocation by the marking deadline. For full details see our 31 May marker update.
Reallocated scripts are still being delivered to markers and deliveries will continue until Wednesday 18 June. Please note that there will be deliveries made this Saturday 14 June.
To track the progress of your script delivery, log in to Making a mark at makingamark.org.uk using your username and password and go to 'Delivery tracking'.
Before submitting marks, please ensure you have captured marks for all pupils whose scripts you entered as 'received' in script verification. If any pupil names are underlined and highlighted in blue in the 'mark capture overview' screen, with the word 'incomplete' in the total marks captured column, these pupils still require marks to be entered. Click on the name/s and enter marks in the usual way. Once all outstanding pupils' marks are captured, please submit your marks.
If you are sure that you have captured marks online for all pupils but cannot submit the marks, you may have to wait for the online marker application system to be updated. This happens twice daily so, if you are currently unable to submit marks, please try again later. Some markers may receive a Java error message after the update. If you experience this please read the guidance below.
As soon as you have completed marking an entire school, please return the marked scripts. You do not need to wait for the marking deadline or until you finish all schools in your allocation. For an early collection, you can:
For more information, follow the step-by-step guidance provided in the UPS parcel carriage instructions (PDF 755KB) , included in your marker pack.
In preparation for collection, please pack scripts and clearly write 'MARKED SCRIPTS' on top of the boxes with a marker pen. If you require any additional stationery, bags or boxes, please call the UPS helpdesk on 08457 877 877.
Thank you for helping to ensure scripts are returned to schools on time.
Marker payments and expense claims The first payroll for expense claims is currently in progress and you should be receiving your payment shortly. Expense claims take 4-6 weeks to be processed and the next payment date is the 20 June. Payments are made directly into your bank account. If your bank account changes, please update your details using your username and password and click on the 'Payroll' tab.
If your question is not answered in the FAQs, email payrollenquiry@etseurope.org
