Payment for marking in the 2008 marking cycle

 

The next date for marking payments is July 4, when you will be paid for all scripts marked up to June 24 that you have not already received payment for. Payment for any scripts you have marked after this date will be made on July 18.

 

If you have marked scripts on paper as you were unable to enter marks online please see below.

 

£100 bonus payment:

The £100 bonus payment will be paid to markers who have completed their allocation of scripts and returned them before the deadline. The payment will be made to eligible markers on the 1 August 2008.

 

Communication fee:

Communication fee as per your contract will be paid on the 18 July.

 

Expenses:

Please note that it can take 3-6 weeks to process expense claims.

 

Return of scripts:

Please note that you must return all marked scripts in order to be paid. We are unable to pay you if you have retained any scripts. If you are unable to access online mark capture, to ensure payment please record the marks on the paper mark sheets available on www.makingamark.org.uk.

 

Paper script marking:

A payment date has not yet been set for markers who have marked paper scripts but not captured marks online. This is a manual process and information on the payment date will be made shortly.

 

£250 Compensation payment:

This payment will be made on August 1. It is only available to markers who have never received scripts or did not have an attempted delivery during the entire marking cycle, up to the date of Wednesday 18 June 2008.
