Fees and expenses
What expenses can I claim for? For your training day you can claim for travel. You can also claim for accommodation if you had to leave your home prior to 7.30am in order to arrive at the training on time. You will also be able to claim up to £20 dinner on the night of your overnight stay and up to £10 for lunch if you were unable to eat the lunch provided.
How do I claim my fees and expenses? A claim form for your fees and expenses will be enclosed in your Marker pack or your Supervising marker pack that you will receive in May 2008.
Where do I send the claim for my fees and expenses? Please post your claim form to MPA Team - Claim forms, ETS Europe, 54 Clarendon Rd, Watford, Herts, WD17 1DU.
When will I receive my payment for expenses? Please note that it can take 3-6 weeks to process expense claims.
I have not been paid my training fee? Training fee payments will be paid on the 6 June and 20 June. If you have not received your training fee after this date please email your query to payrollenquiry@etseurope.org.
Why is the communication fee low? I am worried that the fee won't cover the time I spend on the telephone supporting my team of markers. The communication fee is calculated by assuming a reasonable level of telephone calls made between markers and their supervising markers. Each marker receives a communication fee of £5. If you have incurred costs above this amount, please send a copy of you phone bill with the appropriate charges highlighted, together with an expense claim form which would be in your Marker handbook or Supervising marker handbook.
Will a teacher release fee be paid and to whom? A teacher release fee of £195 will be paid directly to your school. You can download a 'Teacher release form' from the 'Additional documents' section in our 2008 documents library. Please note this fee will be paid only for attendance at weekday meetings. Markers will be paid a standard day meeting fee. Please refer to Appendix B your marker contract.

Can I claim for taxis? Claims for taxis and minicabs will only be accepted where public transport or use of a private car is not available or appropriate.
