Payments
How much will I be paid? Details of your fee schedule are included in Appendix B of your contract and details of expenses can be found in Appendix C.
Why are mathematics markers getting paid more than everyone else? The decision was taken that the rate increase should only apply to mathematics markers as our analysis showed that the script entry fees for English and science are already appropriate given the time required for markers to enter the data.
Who do I contact if I have a payroll query? Please email payrollenquiry@etseurope.org where your query will be answered.
When will I be paid? Payments are made throughout June, July and August 2008. Payroll will run every two weeks.
What are the marker payroll dates? The payroll dates are: 6 June, 20 June, 4 July, 18 July, 1 August. Please note these are payment runs - you will not necessarily be paid on each payment date.
I do not feel comfortable entering my bank details onto your website, can you enter them for me? Please send your bank details via post to ETS Europe, Marking Team - payments, 54 Clarendon Road, Watford, Herts WD17 1DU and we will process them for you.
I did not receive my expected allocation of scripts – they were allocated to another marker. Will this affect my payment? All our markers are paid purely by the amount of scripts they receive and mark. We were not able to guarantee that a set number of scripts would be sent out to you. However, if you mark all the scripts we sent you, even if we only attempted to send you half your allocation, you will receive the £100 bonus.
I was not able to meet the deadline for marking my scripts due to a number of ETS system errors. Will I still be paid for the work I have already completed and receive the £100 bonus? Also, what about the additional work I have performed? I have a contract. If you marked scripts that you received on time, and if the reason you were not able to enter marks online was our fault, then you will be paid the £100 bonus. However, this is a very rare occurrence and there is still time to enter marks. The contract explicitly does not guarantee any minimum volume. The bonus plans are all in addition to anything called for in the contract, so we are actually paying out above and beyond the contractual requirements.
I have changed my bank details. What should I do next? Please input your new bank details in your application. These will be processed from our next pay date. Please also email payrollenquiry@etseurope.org, informing ETS that you have recently updated your details. There is no need to provide the full details in your email, just let us know that they have changed so ETS can be sure that payments due you have been processed.
I was paid by cheque because I did not input my bank details, I have now done this. Thank you, you will be paid by BACS payment for the next next pay runs.
I have been paid into my old bank account, this is now closed. If you are unable to receive this payment, we will receive notification back from our bank and we will contact you. Please input your new bank details in your application. These will be processed from our next pay date. Please also email ETS at payrollenquiry@etseurope.org, informing us that you've recently updated your details. There is no need to provide the full details in your email, just let us know that they have changed so ETS can be sure that payments due are processed.
Has my payment bounced back? Is that why I have not been paid? If you have entered your correct details in your application then there will be no problem with your payments. If you have entered the incorrect details in your application this may be the case please email your query to payrollenquiry@etseurope.org where your query will be responded to.
